Ashaway is a town in Rhode Island, USA, Ashaway Line and Twine is a factory which has produced (amongst others) medical sutures (stiches), fishing line and racket strings since it was founded in 1824 by Captain Lester Crandall (Steves Great, Great, Great Grandfather).
Steve is amongst the 6th Generation of the Crandall Family to produce strings and Steves Son is currently learning 'the ropes' in production. The Crandalls are the worlds authority on string production. Which is why we can say with absolute confidence that Ashaway Racket strings are the best in the world.
